Loloi Rugs to host "Rugs 101" lunch seminar at High Point Market

High Point, N.C. - Loloi Rugs, together with International Market Centers, is hosting a new seminar, "Rugs 101," Sunday, Oct. 14, at the High Point Market. The seminar is especially geared toward retailers who are new to area rugs or may be interested in entering the category.

"Rugs 101" began at Loloi as a comprehensive brochure, a sales tool to help sales professionals and their customers. The presentation has been transformed and expanded into a seminar that will be presented by Loloi executive Cyrus Loloi and product development specialists Cherisse Jensen and Emily Lancaster.

The seminar will address the evolution of area rugs from classic heirlooms to affordable fashion accessories for the home. Topics include different rug constructions, fiber types and cleaning methods, along with selecting the right size, identifying the latest trends and more.

All High Point attendees are welcome, including furniture store buyers, interior designers, retailers, members of the press and sales professionals.

"Rugs 101 is for anyone who wants to feel more comfortable selling modern-day rugs to their customers," Loloi said. "We look forward to sharing our expertise and helping new buyers get excited about the quickly evolving, infinitely fashionable world of area rugs."

The seminar is free, and lunch will be served. It will begin at noon Sunday, Oct. 14, in the IHFC 11th floor ballroom, Green Wing. Seating is limited. Make a reservation by emailing: lchastain@imcenters.com.

Founded in 2004, Loloi Rugs has won two consecutive ARTS Awards for Best Rug Manufacturer (2010 and 2011), the 2012 ART Award for Best Outdoor Manufacturer, six America's Magnificent Carpets Awards and three Atlanta Visual Display Awards for sophisticated showroom design.
